Moving from DJ Event Planner to Gig Nest

DJ Event Planner has been the engine room of multi-op DJ companies for years — planning forms, a music database and website plug-ins that genuinely work, which is exactly why so many businesses still run on it. What it wasn't built for is 2026: every enquiry still waits for a human to type, and a UK business pays in US dollars. Keep the discipline. Add the AI — and pay in pounds.

DJ Event Planner pricing: $20–$50/mo (USD), Standalone to Premium Plus, billed via PayPal

What you keep

  • Your clients, enquiries and event history — import them from CSV exports
  • Your packages, pricing structure and planning discipline
  • Team logins with their own access — first-class here too

What you gain

  • + Enquiries read, scored and answered in your voice, day or night
  • + An AI phone receptionist add-on, so missed calls become booked dates
  • + Clients plan by conversation in their portal — no long forms
  • + UK-first: pounds, Stripe payments, and VAT invoicing on the Agency plan
  • + Crew statements at month end — the paperwork for paying your roster

The ten-minute import

Drop any export into our importer — a CSV, a calendar file, even a PDF of contracts or invoices — and the AI reads your bookings, clients and venues in for you to review. Nothing is re-typed, nothing imports until you approve it, and every record stays editable afterwards.

Or we'll do it for you — free

Email your exports to hello@gig-nest.com with the subject Migration and a human will have your account set up within one working day. Whatever files you can get out — spreadsheets, PDFs, screenshots of your diary — we'll work with them.

Run both side by side

Nothing here requires cancelling your current platform on day one. Import your bookings, take a few enquiries through the new flow, and switch off the old one when — and only when — you're sure. Your data stays exportable here too, always.

Getting your data out of DJ Event Planner

DJ Event Planner can export your data — look for export options in your reports and admin tools, or ask their support team for CSV exports of your clients and events; their UK support team can point you to the right screens. Can't find an export? UK GDPR gives you the right to a copy of your data — their support has to provide it — or just email us whatever you can download and we'll take it from there.

The move

  1. 1. Export clients and events from DJ Event Planner as CSV
  2. 2. Drop the files on the Import page — the AI reads them, you approve every row
  3. 3. Recreate your packages — ten minutes, and AI quoting picks them up immediately
  4. 4. Point your enquiry form or widget at us and watch the first reply send itself

We'll help with the import — reply to any email from us and a human reads it.
